Ambulatory!

I am very excited to announce that Preston is WALKING!!! I realize it is just a natural progression of human development, but it is totally awesome to watch firsthand. Just a few weeks ago he started letting go of things while he was standing, and as the days have gone by, he has become more and more fearless about taking steps, (and fortunately has become a bit more balanced too). I have only witnessed 4-5 steps at a time myself (starting Sunday), but apparently at daycare yesterday he was showing off for all the ladies and taking short jaunts all over the place.
I don't have any good footage yet, so you will have to settle for this video of the Pman ascending the flight of stairs at Grandma & Grandpa E's on Sunday:
He loved climbing the stairs...did it several times all by himself, but this was the only bit we managed to capture on video.
We were there to celebrate Great-Grandpa R's 90th birthday, which went off without a hitch, excluding a rather unsuccessful attempt at picture time:

This is called the "stealth-warrior-mom-hold" where I am actually holding him from behind and duck out of the picture last minute...
Here's another video from a few days ago demonstrating Preston's new cheesy laugh....I haven't figured out how to edit videos on the ipad so don't bother viewing the full 2:30 minutes, its rather anticlimactic. I was hoping he would also demonstrate how he holds the phone to his ear (because I am apparently on the phone enough that he has learned this is what you do.) But, to no avail....so really its only the first minute where he actually giggles and then says a few words.

Also this week: Uncle Mike and Aunt Sarah sent this sweet t-shirt, and it wasn't til it was actually on that I realized the ink in the back.

"cubs pitcher in training"

no pressure, but if he starts using his right hand we beat him.

"I'm done."
