Never trust a 2 year old

Preston's first day back to daycare was friday, after almost 2 weeks of vacation down south with Oompa, Gigi, Gross-poppy (auf deutch), Aunt Sarah, and Uncle Mike. On our way into school, I questioned Preston regarding his recollection of everyone we had just visited. He listed everyone accurately.
When I returned to daycare to pick him up in the evening, his teacher informed me that she had had a bit of difficulty obtaining any reliable account of his vacation. When asked what and who he saw over vacation, Preston's response had been: a gecko, and an ant. A big ant.
An Aunt?
No. An great big giant ANT.

Sorry, Sarah. For a moment I thought perhaps you were the one glimmer of truth in his report...
So much for Santa Claus, and airplanes, and cowboys, and motorcycles, etc, etc.....
Bigger Christmas post to come soon.

On returning home, we were welcomed with a lovely snow storm, which allowed for this creation over the weekend: (and isn't building snowmen a requisite childhood experience? We can't do this down south...)
