Another haircut
Thanks again to blogger's iphone app, you will now view the following succession of photos in reverse.
Tuesday we said farewell to Preston's beautiful curly golden locks, in what was his first "professional" hair cut. Following that experience, I think I will continue the hair-cutting for the indefinite future. I'm pretty sure that my instructions were, "It's a little shaggy, if you could just trim it a little, but I want to keep his curls."
Note the post-cut picture directly below: clearly no curls. I did have a moment of panic, and have had several subsequent ones, but I keep reassuring myself that it's just hair. It will grow back. Not to mention Preston will be substantially cooler when it actually starts to get hot around here. So there's that.
So in reverse, Preston enjoying a post-hair-cut 1st-local-strawberry-tasting of the season, then some time-lapse photography during his haircutting session. The kid didn't move an inch the entire time. Everyone in the salon kept applauding him, and crediting my fantastic parenting skills, of course. He also didn't make a single sound the entire time. I just kept laughing, since he looked so serious and deeply contemplative through the whole thing. I couldn't even get him to smile or say cheese for the camera.

What in the world has Preston been doing?
In no particular order, notable events from the past 2 months....
Participating in his 2nd annual Katie Socci Memorial Run, with canine buddy Tiger:

Helping Oompah grade papers:
Being victimized by a host of unusual rashes:
Attending Big Rig Day with buddy Wesley:
Getting a visit from Auntie El, one of our favorite Hawaiian aunties. Here is Auntie El (not pictured) helping out with bathtime:
Learning how to fish!!
Playing with, and subsequently eating, some lobsters:
Visiting the MOST, and pointing out where Mommy works:
Trying on my high heels:
And subsequently walking in them better than I do:
Getting a lima bean extracted from his nasal cavity:
Yup, I pulled that out of his nose.
On review of daycare reports, he had eaten mixed veggies 3 days prior. Current theory is it got sneezed up there, since there is no possible way he could have shoved it up his nostril (fine-motor-skill-wise or size-wise).
Practicing wearing underpants!!
